I Have Not Read My Bible in Weeks

I have not opened my Bible in weeks.

I do not remember the exact day count, but it has been pretty bad. Yes, I just got back from a mission trip. And yes I am an outspoken Christian. But I have not read in weeks, and my heart is weak because of it. I just wanted to put this out there, because after a short conversation with my roommates last night, I realized I was not alone.

Maybe you are right there with me. Maybe it has been much longer for you. I can definitely remember times where I could not remember the last time I read the Word. This is probably why you feel so overwhelmed, so impatient, so weak.

So just do it.

Take 5 minutes, or 10, or 15 and do it.

She Reads Truth is an excellent resource for small Bible studies, that are just right for the ones like you and I, who are walking into our Bible time with our heads hung low.

I just started this series. Discovered that there is another verse to one of my favorite hymns, and it happens to be my favorite verse!

"Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power."

I am already feeling stronger. I am already more prepared to kick these habits.

Let me know what your favorite devotion resources are!

Much Love,
Sarah
